Born to Bloom Books
If I were to put any labels on myself at all, it would be “truth-seeker” and “researcher.”
I certainly do not have all the answers.
Nobody does!
But because I have been “researching” for years upon years this subject of purpose and of what makes us tick, I think I can point you to some fantastic books written by experts in various fields.
{ I am an expert on the experts! }
I’m not even sure I can call myself that because the more I study, the more amazing authors I discover.
I really do believe that books can change lives! (Especially The Bible! Hello!! It’s the living Word.)
“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12
The Bible is a never-ending book of revelations.
Books can serve as counselors, life coaches, encouragers, seed-planters, and springboards of inspiration and motivation.
After all, they are written by people!
People who are experts in their respective fields.
And they are writing books to share what they’ve learned.
{ And to make money, but, hey, we all need money, right? And what better way to make it than helping people! }
I actually consider some of the authors of my favorite books as friends.
I mean, how awesome is it that we can sit down with someone of our choice, at any time we choose, and share in their heart, lives, experiences, and wisdom.
Even people who are now residing in heaven. Really?!! Awesome, I tell you. What a blessing!
I’ve been giving away Bibles and other books ever since I can remember. I guess because I had aspired to be a research librarian, I applied this natural bent to my personal life!
Oh, and about acquiring these books. None of us can afford to get all the books we might want. I have found that my local library has an extensive number of Christian authors available in many formats. I’ve read many books this way.
And that is how I have extracted and saved hundreds of quotes and passages—sometimes just one or two lines are exactly what we need to hear to encourage and inspire us.
By the way. I would absolutely love it if anyone reading this blog would suggest books that have been really helpful to your growth in God in any way. Maybe one or two of your favorite, life-changing books.
That will help me and it will help many others that I can share the information with.
Happy Reading!
